I believe home is the foundation of everything. It’s where we start and end our days, where we can be our most vulnerable selves in every way, where life-altering decisions are made and where kitchen tables are gathered around until 3 am. Home is where our lives unfold — day by day and moment by moment.

Home is no small thing. In fact, it is an extension of you, whether you consciously choose it or not.

I believe our homes mirror us intimately, but most people don’t realize it.

They settle for a home that feels like four walls and a roof rather than a haven, sanctuary and oasis of their own making.

I believe home should heal, support, nurture and grow you, and that the way it looks can and should reflect your inner-most world and higher ideals.

Who you become inside your home is who you carry into the world.

Interior design gate-keeps (or tries to) beauty, and makes too many people feel like the home of their dreams isn’t something they’re allowed to have.

DIY on the other hand is just as frustrating. You have enough going on in your life besides trying to be your own designer. It’s a wonder anyone makes any progress at all when they have to bootstrap every decision, idea and purchase all alone.
